 First of all, I apologize for the lack of updates lately. Life gets busy sometimes! Now, on to the good stuff... Josh and Fergie have been spotted out and about a lot lately. Josh Duhamel journeys to Canada's
north to learn about polar bear plight
CHURCHILL, Manitoba (PGN) >> Actor Josh Duhamel came north to learn first-hand about the impact climate change is having on the polar bear population.
The 36-year-old Transformers star was joined on his excursion to the shore of the Hudson Bay near Churchill – where polar bears gather to await the freeze – by Dr. Ian Stirling and Dr. Steven Amstrup of the Scientific Advisory Council of Polar Bears International (PBI), a non-profit organization dedicated to conservation.
"I'm blown away by the beauty of seeing these awesome creatures up close and personal," Duhamel said. "I wanted to see the effects of climate change and confront the contradictory claims about polar bears first-hand. The plight of the polar bear is a symbol of what's going on globally."
Duhamel, whose fiancée Fergie stayed home in Los Angeles, heard from Dr. Stirling that polar bear body weight has dropped 20 percent over the last 25 years. The animals are therefore more likely to lose their cubs during birth.
The former Las Vegas star toured Cape Churchill last week on a Tundra Buggy and got a view from above in a helicopter. Duhamel taped a public service ad for PBI and also met with Manitoba’s Minister of Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport, Eric Robinson.
He told locals he will go home and remind Americans of the need to think green. "In Los Angeles especially, we have got to travel more efficiently," Duhamel said. "Reducing electricity as much as possible, and eating locally-grown, organic food are easy actions to take for most of us."
Winnipeg-based PBI launched project thermo-STAT, a program designed to focus attention on the plight of polar bears in the warming climate and what people can do to lessen their impact on the environment.

Out for a walk

Fergie is in for more than just stuffing and turkey this Thanksgiving. The singer will be facing some chilly temperatures in fiancé Josh Duhamel's hometown.
"I'm taking her home to North Dakota for Thanksgiving," Duahmel, 36, who hails from the town of Minot, tells Entertainment Tonight Canada. "Her and her whole family, so they're going to get a taste of some cold weather."
A southern California girl, Fergie, 33, will definitely need to
bundle up while visiting her soon-to-be in-laws. The singer, who just
returned from Dubai, is spending some pre-holiday time "doing some
wedding stuff," says Duhamel. Keeping mum about the
details of the nuptials, the actor would only say the wedding planning
is "all going well. It's all going great. It's fun actually. We're both
really excited about it and it will be good." As for where they might go after the wedding, Canada is in
the running, says Duhamel. "This would actually be a great honeymoon
place. I would love to take her here. " Duhamel's full interview will air Tuesday on ET Canada.

T2 on an aircraft carrier

Josh finished up filming on the aircraft carrier USS John C Stennis on Nov. 2nd. One of the men stationed on the ship posted about the experience of having T2 filming on board.

Skalor's Postcard
Greetings from San Diego! Just got back today from deployment at sea on
board the U.S. Navy carrier Stennis and thought I'd fill everyone in on
what I experienced this past week with the ROTF cast and crew. It's
true, filming did take place this past week, all shooting was completed
in a two day span, Saturday the 1st with the IMAX folks filming flight
operations, and Sunday the 2nd with Michael Bay in action around the
ship. Rumors flew around for weeks about what exactly was going to
happen with the movie so it was really cool to see it all go down.
Saturday afternoon two transport planes arrived, the first carrying
Shia Labeouf on the first and on the second were Michael Bay, Tyrese
Gibson, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel. They arrived in costume (at least
Tyrese and Josh did) and began working almost immediately. From what I
saw, all of the filming with the cast was done in "closed" sets. The
rest of the filming on the flight deck seemed to be flight operations,
of which I was there and will hopefully make the final cut. We were
told to just act natural and continue our jobs as normal, which is easy
to do when you've actually got work to do. I did however try really
hard to get into one shot in which I just walked back and forth for
about 20 minutes. 
The whole experience was a lot of fun and everyone in the cast and crew
were really cool. Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox were really hard to find
on the ship, I think they were working just about their whole time
there. I'm not sure which part of the movie was filmed there but it is
probably somewhere toward the end, (Shia had "beat-up" make up on, and
Duhamel and Tyrese were in dress uniforms). Overall it was an awesome
time.
Sorry if I didn't give you any good spoilers or anything like that, but
I think the suspense is more fun anyway. By the way, the crew working
on this movie have been busting their asses to make a good film, that
much I can attest to.
This should put to rest any of the rumors that they've completed
filming for now, although this may have been the last of the filming (I
didn't ask). Here are a few of the pictures I got during this past
weekend, enjoy!

Canyon Walk

 Josh and Fergie were spotted out for a walk in an LA Canyon this morning. They took along their dogs, Zoe and Meatloaf. I find it funny that only Meatloaf made it into the pictures. Check them out in the gallery. Also, in Transformers news, principle shooting is finished on the movie. It is now listed as being in post-production! |

Wedding Plans

They’ve been engaged since last Christmas, but Fergie and Josh Duhamel
are finally getting around to planning their nuptials. “Fergie has just
started interviewing wedding planners,” her pal reveals of the
bride-to-be, who has been so focused on her career that she hasn’t had
time to think of the big day until now. “She’s also working with Chanel
designer Karl Lagerfeld on getting her fantasy gown.” The insider adds
that Fergie, 33, and Josh, 35, hope to get everything set for a June
2009 ceremony. “They are taking their time to get everything right,”
says the friend. “They only plan on getting married once.” Fergie and
Josh dated for three years before he proposed. “I feel like the
luckiest girl in the world,” she says.
